I am a Jewish mother, wife, daughter, and best friend. As a parent, we all want our children to grow up to be well-rounded, and kind individuals. This blog chronicles my family’s story as navigate the up’s and down’s of life.
Judaism calls for us to strive to be a mensch (an honorable person). But doing mitzvot (good deeds) is only one part of the equation. It is more then just following the words of Torah. It is more then just helping others throughout life. It is savoring the sweetness of life and “paying forward” that beauty my leaving the world a better place for our children and their children. That is my goal as a parent. That is the core of this blog.
I am raising my child to be a person who is an activist for making the world a better place. A child who thinks beyond commercialism and “Hannukah bushes” to see what the true teachings of Judaism are.
I hope you feel joy, laughter, and love as you read these many blog posts. Happy reading!
